We’re excited to welcome Carenza Love, MS, to Briljent as a Health Strategy and Innovation Consultant.

Carenza brings more than 15 years of experience in healthcare information technology, including over a decade with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). Her work has spanned the full lifecycle of Medicaid Enterprise Systems (MES)—from planning and procurement to implementation and oversight. Most recently, she served as the MES Team Lead within CMS’s Division of State Systems, where she supported state officers across the country in navigating complex system modernization efforts.

In this role, Carenza led the development of MES review protocols, Advanced Planning Document (APD) templates, and sub-regulatory guidance. She worked closely with states to interpret evolving federal expectations, align funding strategies, and troubleshoot implementation challenges. Carenza’s experience gives her a deep understanding of the pressures and opportunities states face as they modernize their Medicaid systems.

At Briljent, Carenza joins a team committed to helping states and partners navigate change with clarity and confidence. Her ability to bridge policy and practice, paired with her collaborative leadership style, makes her a valuable addition to our Health Strategy and Innovation practice.
